Had a lazy today really, well what I mean is that I didn't do any housework - hooray! Attended a beading class today 2/2 and in two hours have been taught the basics of how to make a bracelet, earrings and necklace and all for £10 including a box of beads and findings - this is a bargain. Then Aretha (next door neighbour) met me in town and we wandered for a bit then went for a coffee and chatted for a couple of hours in the cafe with another round of teas and coffees and a sandwich, then we wandered home again......ah it was lovely - the perils of working from home is that you literally don't get out much during the winter months, especially this winter, at least in the summer you can have a break sitting in the garden. I therefore didn't boot up my computer until about 10pm, which is unusual for me and found that I had been invited to write something on the knitters blog, which I have and hope what I have posted is okay, I am rather new to this group. I haven't quite put the finishing touches to the beading, but will upload a photo when it is all finished. Next week I am attending a paper sculpting class, which I am really looking forward to because I have never done anything like this. BTW anyone reading who lives in Braintree - the course I have been to is held at Hannays Art Shop, they are running quite a lot of different courses, some only lasting two weeks so worth enquiring if you are particularly interested in learning a particular craft. I know they are running beginners classes in knitting for adults and are going to run children's courses for knitting during the holidays, so go and put your name down as you won't get many chances of a cheap course like they provide!
