I am a complete novice when it comes to knitting anything that takes half a brain to work out the pattern, but I have been persuaded to knit some socks by Tracy of my knitting group, a couple of the members are knitting them and I must say that they look fab and apparently last for years - plus I am not really into wearing knitted jumpers or cardigans so at least these will be useful and will make good Christmas presents (if I master them).....well here goes because I have bought the wool now, but it may take some time before you will see the finished article, wish me luck!

saw a woman knitting socks at Bakewell with some of that fancy wool that comes out as a fair isle pattern even though you just need normal purl stitch. Looked fab but don't think I could get my head round the who 4 needles thing. Make sure you bring them up with you this week can't wait to see them...
