Off To Sydney

No not me unfortunately the card.  This one made with the same four seasons stamps is for my Son, David who lives in Sydney and I need to get it in the post tomorrow as for some International destinations the last day is the 4th December.....and this is he...

I thought that this card is manly enough to send, it is always hard to decorate a man's card!

I don't have one ot those anti-static bags but when using embossing powder with wording I always brush a little talcum powder on first, this stops my powder going places where I don't want it to go.  Again I stamped onto gold mirror card, rubbed black paint into it and then played about with different alcohol inks, cranberry, oregano, terra cotta and espresso and finished with household wax.  The background is a mixture of Lettuce Adirondack ink mixed with Kiwi Perfect Pearls and a little water that I sponged on.  What ink was left was flicked onto the card, rather like glimmer mists I think.

Hi Carol. It's a stunning card for anyone but your Son will love it, especially after travelling so many miles.
Thanks for the talc tip, I've lost my static bag, temporarily you understand, so will try this.
Have a lovely weekend.

Thanks for your message on my blog Carol. I've just looked at your faux metal technique (24 Nov) and it is just brilliant. What a great idea and very clever.

That is such a gorgeous card and perfect for a man. I agree, men-cards are so tough to do, but you did a great card. You have such a good looking son it must be hard having him so far away! Have a wonderful day!
